Randy Hundley, who doubled to drive in one of the Cubs' three runs in the second inning, smashed a homer in the sixth to beat the Phillies, 4-3. Milt Pappas, trying for a victory on his 34th birthday, developed a tender elbow and was lifted with one out in the Phillies' sixth after giving up a run on a double by Cesar Tovar and single by Willie Montanez. Bob Locker relieved and lost the lead when Greg Luzinski homered to tie the score. [The Sporting News]
