Bob Bailey hit a triple and homer to drive in three runs and Ken Singleton and Jim Lyttle also hit homers as the Expos defeated the Cubs, 7-3. A single by Ron Hunt, pass to Mike Jorgensen and single by Ron Fairly produced a run for the Expos in the first inning before Bailey batted in two more with his triple. Singleton and Bailey hit their homers in the sixth, Singleton's blow coming with a man on base, and Lyttle added his round-tripper in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
