With Britt Leech (Man in Cemetery). Shirley Booth returns in a comedy series to play a widow who tries to establish a life of her own while living with her daughter and son-in-law. The series is based on the British comedy "For the Love of Ada", and taped before a live audience. In the first episode, Grace tries to spend a weekend alone at a seaside resort.

January 27, 1973: The Weekend
Season 1, episode 2

With John Fiedler (Desk Clerk). Grace shocks her daughter by going off for a weekend with her gentleman friend, Herbert.

February 3, 1973: The Working Girl
Season 1, episode 3

With Fritzi Burr (Mrs. Sherman), Evelyn Smith, Emily Yancy. Walter is offered a job in another town and Grace faces the prospect of having to move away from Herbert and all her other friends.

February 10, 1973: Lover's Quarrel
Season 1, episode 4

With Roy Roberts (Bertram Garrett), Bill Balance. After Herbert declines Grace's invitation to her over-60's club dance without a good excuse, the two have their first big disagreement.

February 17, 1973: Pregnant Conversation
Season 1, episode 5

With Florence Lake (Mrs. Fitton), Doris Packer (Mrs. Armstrong). Grace's efforts to persuade Myra and Walter to have a baby threaten to destroy their marriage.

February 24, 1973: The Apartment
Season 1, episode 6

With Zack Taylor (Richard), Amy Farrell (Annie). Grace is delighted when Walter and Myra rent their basement apartment. So are Walter and Myra -- until the rent check bounces.

March 3, 1973: The Driving Lesson
Season 1, episode 7

With Stephen Hood (Gordon), Bob Duggan (Official). When the bus company cuts service to the cemetery area, Grace spunkily sets out to do something about it.

March 17, 1973: Saturday Night At The Movies
Season 1, episode 8

With Gino Conforti (Ebsen), Gordon Jump (Greenwald), Bo Kaprall (Man in Cemetery). Saturday night at the movies can be lots of fun unless, like Grace and Herbert, you're caught in a raid on a porno house.

March 24, 1973: The Lodge
Season 1, episode 9

With Tom Bosley, Christopher Connelly, Jackie Vernon, Herbie Faye, Arte Johnson, Bill Fiore. Grace talks the usually punctual Herbert into being late to his lodge meeting for the first time in 17 years so he can take her to dinner for her birthday.

March 31, 1973: The Reunion
Season 1, episode 10

With Ian Wolfe. Grace has to contend with the problem of an old Army buddy of her late husband Henry, who comes to dinner and stays on.

April 7, 1973: The Commercial
Season 1, episode 11

With Joby Baker (Dickson), Johnny Haymer (Charles), Tom Biener (Make-Up Man), Brenda Elder (Secretary), Milton Frome (Moorpark). Grace is shopping in the supermarket where Walter works when the company's advertising agency interviews her for a TV commercial. In her excitement, she fails to report that her son-in-law is a company employee.

April 14, 1973: The Accident
Season 1, episode 12

With Richard Dreyfuss (Donald), Ned Wertimer (Bushling). The dream of instant riches crops up in the minds of Grace and Herbert when they are shaken up on a bus which collides with a police car.

April 21, 1973: The Engagement
Season 1, episode 13

With Jan Arvan (Watson), Peter Brocco. Grace finally answers the question that Herbert has been asking for months, but when she chooses the engagement ring he has some doubts. (Last show of the series.)
