Eastern financial interests attempt a takeover of Sweetwater businesses as part of their town-by-town sweep of the West.

February 2, 1982: The Mayflower Women's Historical Society

A religious charlatan dupes the townpeople so that he can obtain the rights to their land; Maverick comes up with a sting operation to get their property back, but it requires the cooperation of the entire town.

April 20, 1982: Faith, Hope And Clarity (2)

Bret masterminds a con to get back the townsfolk's land, which was legally stolen by the clever leader of a religious cult, but the plan hits a snag.

April 27, 1982: The Rattlesnake Brigade

May 4, 1982: The Hidalgo Thing

With Dub Taylor (Toothless Tim Teal), Jack Kelly (Bart Maverick), John Dennis Johnston (Burt Full Moon), Hector Elizondo (Mr. Gomez), Sandra DeBruin (Screaming Woman). Tom Guthrie, who is trying to get re-elected as sheriff, tries to get Maverick to keep a low profile, but Bret is working on the biggest con of his life and isn't going to stop now. (Last show of the series.)
