Diana Rigg stars as a young divorcee who comes to New York to start a new life as a fashion coordinator. Tonight, Diana Smythe, newly arrived from England, discovers her apartment is a popular stopover for her brother's friends who hold keys to the front door, and her employment hopes dim when she meets a tyrannical fashion designer.

The uneasiness continues when Diana misses her plane to Buffalo, and office-mate Howard Tolbrook, newly graduated pilot and accident prone as well, offers to fly her there.
