James Drury returns to a weekly series as captain of Engine Co. 23. In the opening episode they succeed in getting a net under a "jumper" and rush to an office building fire.

Season 1, episode 14 Capt. Ryerson and his men rescue a boy stuck in a heating duct, and then battle a spectacular oil refinery blaze, where storage tanks are igniting and shooting off like missiles. (Last show of the series.)
