Gig Young and John Savage star in a series based on the characters and stories of John O'Hara, set in a small Pennsylvania mining town in the late 1940s. In the first show, Savage, as a young newspaper reporter, is assigned to interview an aging playwright. Young, as a veteran reporter, covers a mysterious explosion.
