Season 17, episode 1

With Skip Homeier (Jim Pearson), Rob Hughes (Marc Saunders), Sally Fraser, Robert Rockwell (Will Thorne). Series returns for its 17th year with a new format: Lassie is entirely on her own with no regular supporting cast. Premiering a seven-part story, Lassie meets a mate only to be separated by a battle with a killer dog. Badly injured and unconscious at the side of the road, Lassie, who is carrying a litter, is found by a stranger who takes her with him.
