Season 1, episode 1
D: Danny Thomas
With Hans Conried (Uncle Tonoose), Jana Taylor (Susan McAdams Williams). Entertainer Danny Williams returns for a new chapter in the Williams family. There are now three generations to get involved in problems. New to the cast are Rosey Grier in the role of Danny's accompanist, and Michael Hughes as Danny's grandson. In the first episode, Danny and Kathy return from a year's stay in Australia and are confronted with a delicate situation. Daughter Terry is leaving for Japan to join her Army-based husband, and must leave her young son behind.

With Sammy Davis Jr. (Barney Shaker). Danny Williams agrees to appear at a boys' club benefit and at the rehearsal finds his old pal coaching the boys in a dance routine.
Season 1, episode 3
With Hamilton Camp (Director), Jesse White (Phil). After accepting a role in a movie, Danny Williams discovers he must appear in the nude. Torn with indecision, he talks to the director and learns that he, too, must appear sans clothes.
Season 1, episode 4
With Roosevelt Grier (Rosey Robbins), Sid Miller (Sam). Danny hires a black accompanist and develops an uncomfortable relationship with him. In his efforts to be pleasant, Danny becomes condescending. But Rosey has a diplomatic way to get around it.

With Vito Scotti (Leon), Michele Grumet (Arlene). Danny gets upset when Linda and a girlfriend imply that romance for people over 40 is somewhat ludicrous.

With Bob Hope (Himself). Guest star Bob Hope invites Danny on his trip to entertain the troops.

W: Stan Cutler, Martin Donovan D: Jack Arnold Danny's shouting while teaching Linda to drive is so upsetting that she learns at a driving school instead. She passes her test but then has the problem of telling Danny.

With Hans Conried (Uncle Tonoose), Sid Caesar (Habib). Uncle Tonoose moves in when his niece calls off the marriage he had arranged for her.

With Frank Sinatra (Himself), Michael French (Henry). Frank Sinatra comes to dinner at the Williams' house, where he receives phone calls from glamorous women.
Season 1, episode 10
With Kristina Holland (Sherry), Peter Helm (Richard), Harold Peary (Max). Danny is outraged when an unmarried couple -- friends of Linda -- decide to live together. Linda, upset by her father's attitude, deserts home, leaving behind a letter of explanation.
Season 1, episode 11
With Roosevelt Grier (Rosey Robbins), Jana Taylor (Susan McAdams Williams). Danny begins to wonder if his way of bringing up his kids has been the right one when he learns that little Michael is not permitted to sing in a school show.
Season 1, episode 12
With Roosevelt Grier (Rosey Robbins), Jackie Joseph (Dolly). A women's freedom advocate demands that Danny drop all jokes that cast aspersions on females. Kelly and Linda are sympathetic to her cause. That night, with members of the league in the Copa audience, Danny puts on a special program to get even with the women.

With Davy Jones (Himself), Sherry Alberoni (Diane). Danny has a man-to-man talk with a teen singing idol who keeps his marriage secret to protect his public image.

With Milton Berle, Peggy McCay (Rita). A freeloader with charisma and "chutzpah" brings his wife with him for an extended -- and unexpected -- visit with the Williamses.
Season 1, episode 15
With Mabel Albertson (Mrs. Bigelow), Stanley Myron Handelman (Henry Patterson). Superstitious Danny is thrown into a panic by an elevator operator's gloomy prediction. He makes the entire family walk up and down the seven flights of stairs to the apartment.

With Lucille Ball (Lucy Carter), Doris Singleton (Sylvia), Joe Mell (Taxi Driver). Kathy's visiting friend, after hearing that Danny is faithful even on his frequent trips away from home, begins to wonder if it's so when Danny arrives late at night and starts to climb into bed with her!
Season 1, episode 17
With Lou Jacobi (Mephisto), Eddie Firestone (Walters). Danny is nominated as "Grandfather of the Year", but the edge is taken off the honor when he sees Kathy's new outfit -- a mini skirt and boots.

With Diana Ross (Diana Hendricks), Roosevelt Grier (Rosey Robbins), Paul Thomas Gordon (Gordon). Denny seethes when an arrogant singer demands solo billing and her manager orders his comedy routine cut.

With Jack Bender (Jeff). Upset by the long hair and far-out garb of Linda's date, Danny follows the young couple to their announced destination.
Season 1, episode 20 Danny encourages Kathy to take karate lessons as a means of self-protection, and then fears she will lose her femininity.
Season 1, episode 21
With Michael Lembeck (Peter), Stanley Bennett Clay (Student). Danny picks up the phone and it's a boy calling for daughter Linda, who is out. Danny forgets to get his name and Linda is crestfallen because it might have been a date for the school dance.
Season 1, episode 22
With John Qualen (Folsom), John Levin (Alvin). Danny agrees to fake a draw in an arm-wrestling contest to help a grandfather make a favorable impression on his grandson.
Season 1, episode 23
With Hans Conried (Uncle Tonoose), Roosevelt Grier (Rosey Robbins), Stanley Myron Handelman (Henry Patterson). Uncle Tonoose, obsessed with leaving behind a "monument" to his name, agrees to Danny's suggestion that he write his autobiography.
Season 1, episode 24
With Herb Vigran (Delivery Man), Jana Taylor (Susan McAdams Williams). Danny employs a ruse to get Rusty to accept a new refrigerator, and his son decides to teach his generous father a lesson about giving gifts. (Last show of the series.)
