W: Bob Carroll Jr., Madelyn Pugh Davis D: James Sheldon Debut of a comedy about a widowed Japanese businessman who moves to Chicago and unwittingly hires a scatter-brained American girl as a governess for his children, who soon capitulate to baseball, hot dogs and apple pie.
Season 1, episode 2 Mr. T's cousin, Kaju, a Sumo wrestler from Japan, comes to visit. He mistakenly falls in love with Tina.
Season 1, episode 3 It is recalled how Tara, newly transferred from Tokyo to Chicago, finds himself trying to fire a Nebraska-born governess he hasn't really hired.

With Mako. Japanese tradition requires Taro to grin and bear a houseguest who's worn out his welcome. (Last show of the series.)
