Robert Forster returns in a series as a deputy sheriff of a New Mexico town. He is proud of his Navajo heritage and respectful of ancient Indian tradition and philosophy. In the first show, Nakia's discovery that a young Indian man, accused of murder and ostracized by his tribe, is innocent, leads to a deeper mystery and the real murderer's trail.

November 9, 1974: The Moving Target

Nakia is forced to clear his name when a local troublemaker dies soon after the deputy hits him in a barroom brawl.

December 7, 1974: A Matter Of Choice
Season 1, episode 11

A young man's death is blamed on deputy sheriff Nakia Parker when he defends himself while breaking up a barroom brawl, and one of the combatants is later found dead.

December 21, 1974: Pete
Season 1, episode 12

Nakia befriends a young and very frightened boy abandoned by his criminal parents.

December 28, 1974: The Fire Dancer

Nakia has his hands full with an old Indian chief medicine man who insists on performing an ancient ritual to save the life of Chief Red Earth. (Last show of the series.)
