The adventures of an engaging pair of con artists, a handsome traveling salesman and a bright 11-year-old, roaming the midwest. In the first show, tired of traveling, Addie persuades Moze to use his special method of getting $1,000 to buy a house so they can settle down.

Season 1, episode 2

Moze enters Addie in a Shirley Temple contest and then makes sure she'll win second prize -- a tuneup for their malfunctioning car.

Moze's eulogy at the funeral of Indiana Harry, who taught him the con business, brings appreciative tears from Harry, alive and up to his old tricks.

Arriving with Moze in the town of Ophelia, where she was born, Addie sets out to learn the identity of her father.

Moze sees an opportunity to quintuple his and Addie's money when a bootlegger's widow pays him for a Bible with gold certificates.

Addie takes time off to think about life and meets a remarkable teacher at the schoolhouse while Moze is busy with business. (Last show of the series.)
