With Fifi D'Orsay (Madame Delacourt), Richard Ward (Sgt. B.J. Bryant), Jeff Burton (Focus). Stu Gilliam and Hilly Hicks star in a new series dealing with the men of the "Red Ball Express", a mostly black Army transportation unit based in WWII France that is dedicated to the task of getting material through to the troops no matter how outrageously the rules must be bent to accomplish the mission. In the first show, Williams and Brooks promise to fulfill a fellow driver's dying wish -- a New Orleans-style jazz funeral -- in war-torn France.

With Jerome Cohen (Pierre), Corey Fischer (Monk). A choir of French orphans greatly lifts the men's sagging Christmas spirits, but the change is only temporary.

An incentive program, initiated hopefully to curb a rash of vehicle maintenance troubles, leads to scheming and sabotage among the drivers of the Red Ball Express.

A sprained ankle creates an unexpected twist in the state of affairs for Sweet William. The Army is treating his mishap far more seriously than he'd expected, and he's ecstatic to be the cause of so much concern. (Last show of the series.)
