An aging black Los Angeles junk dealer and his 32-year-old son provide the comedy ingredients in a series based on the long-running British series "Steptoe and Son". Redd Foxx makes his series debut in the lead role. In the first show (taped before a live audience) a porcelain figurine appears to be an object that could provide a windfall for the junk dealers.
