September 17, 1971: Tender Loving Kindness

With Mike Mazurki (Julie), Rudy Vallee (Himself). Comedy series satirizing the Chicago gangster era of the roaring 1920s. Dean Jones returns to TV in a weekly series, starring as Linc McCray, part-owner of a speakeasy. John Banner (formerly Sgt. Schultz of Hogan's Heroes) plays Uncle Latzi, who owns the other half. In the opening show, Linc and Uncle Latzi try to figure a way to top Big Nick, the underground gang leader, from hiring away the club's popular orchestra, led by a nasal-toned singer named Rudy Vallee.

September 24, 1971: Nick's Sister
Season 1, episode 2

With Sarah Fankboner (Rosalie), Elliott Street (Herman), Huntz Hall (Dutch). Big Nick finds just the right bridegroom for his ugly sister.

October 1, 1971: Mr. Suave
Season 1, episode 3

With Judith McConnell (Irene Wellington), Neville Brand (Legs). Big Nick cons Uncle Latzi into buying the management of a prize fighter sight-unseen, and he does it with funds that have been collected for an orphan's playground.

October 8, 1971: The Alderman

With Mike Mazurki (Julie), John Fiedler, Huntz Hall (Dutch), Jamie Farr (Lefty), Mickey Shaughnessy (Duke). Big Nick plans to expand his "protection" business by running for alderman to give himself more muscle to move in on cousin Linc's prosperous business.

October 15, 1971: The Big Grab

With Mike Mazurki (Julie), Sid Melton (Grocer), Cliff Osmond (Rocky Granite), Allen Jenkins (Trainer), Leonid Kinskey (Butcher). Big Nick cons Uncle Latzi into buying a prize filghter sight unseen.

October 22, 1971: A Horse Of Another Color

With Nehemiah Persoff (Morris), Oscar Beregi Jr. (Sascha). Knuckles, terrible tyrant of the prohibition-era gangland, demands that Big Nick "fix" a horse race.

October 29, 1971: Linc Minds The Baby

With Florence Halop (Mrs. Krausmeyer), Sid Melton (Cabbie). Uncle Latzi agrees to take care of a baby whose parents are being deported.

November 5, 1971: The Big Kisser
Season 1, episode 8

With Elisha Cook Jr.. Uncle Latzi's old-world custom of bestowing friendly kisses on people leads gang boss Big Nick to believe he's a target for a "rub-out".

November 12, 1971: The Spy

With Huntz Hall (Dutch), Jamie Farr (Lefty), Bill Zuckert (Capt. Hanrahan), Joe Turkel (Sgt. Connell), Choo Choo Collins (Trixie). The beer supply in Linc's speakeasy comes upon a dry spell when Big Nick cuts the supply line.

November 19, 1971: Billy The Kid
Season 1, episode 10

With Huntz Hall (Dutch), Jamie Farr (Duke), Mike Mazurki (Julie), Bo Svenson (Georgi). The long-standing feud between Linc and his gangster cousin Big Nick is almost settled once and for all by a billy goat "loaded" with dynamite sticks.

November 26, 1971: The Auction
Season 1, episode 11

With Hans Conried. When Big Nick presents Linc and Latki with a promissory note which they are sure is forged, Linc calls in "Charle the Forger" to beat Nick at his own game -- lying, cheating and stealing.

December 3, 1971: Annie Get Your Cue

With Bernie Kopell (Rudolpho Tarantino), Francine York (Annie). Linc and Latzi's speakeasy business is in a bad situation when Big Nick threatens to foreclose the mortgage.

December 10, 1971: The Rivalry

With Ann Sothern, George Raft. The neighborhood flower vendor and the parish priest enliven the continuing battle between Linc and Big Nick. (Last show of the series.)
