Season 1, episode 1
With Patsy Kelly (Brigid Murphy), Sharon Spelman (Mary Goodhew). A hard-boiled bachelor cop has his life turned upside down when a street-tough orphan and his dog are put in his protective custody. In the first episode, overweight and middle-aged Officer Murphy falls victim to an asthma attack while trying to apprehend a youthful black shoplifter and his pet.
Season 1, episode 2
With William Pierson (Zimmerman), Sharon Spelman (Mary Goodhew). Officer Frank Murphy is enthusiastic about an undercover assignment until he learns he has to dress like an old woman to catch a purse snatcher.
Season 1, episode 3
With Patsy Kelly (Brigid Murphy). Lucas learns a lesson from his father, that gambling doesn't pay. He decides to run a football pool instead -- setting up his operation in the police station.
Season 1, episode 4
With Arlene Golonka (Eileen). Lucas' truancy from school gets so bad that Murphy makes a deal with him to attend school regularly while making the pool hall off limits.
Season 1, episode 5
With Marc McClure. Officer Murphy is asked by the station captain if he'd mind taking care of his young boy while he and his wife go away for a weekend.
Season 1, episode 6
With Thalmus Rasulala (Lee Simpson). Frank has to prove to his kid that he's as good as a SWAT officer.
Season 1, episode 7
With Terry Carter (Joe), Patsy Kelly (Brigid Murphy). Social worker Mary Goodhew thinks hot-headed officer Murphy could handle Lucas a lot better if he would learn to control his temper.
Season 1, episode 8
With Arlene Golonka (Eileen). When Lucas' teacher summons Frank to school to discuss the kid's unsatisfactory work, the bachelor cop takes a liking to her.
Season 1, episode 9
With Lucille Benson (Martha). Frank is worried about a constant pain in his stomach and also about his chances for promotion. (Last show of the series.)
