With Diane Baker (Sheila Carmichael), Torin Thatcher (Brother Anselm), Sherry Jackson (Jeri Spencer), Bert Convy (Dave Carmichael). Dramatic series about a group of youthful doctors facing the professional and personal challenges of a career in medicine. Much of the series' action will take place outside a large metropolitan hospital, dealing with the interns' personal involvements as well as their careers, touching on such matters as drugs, sports and friendships. In the first episode, a wife pleads for the mercy killing of her husband; one of the interns is assigned to the case of a southern-born monk; and a go-go dancer disrupts hospital routine.

September 25, 1970: The Death Wish

With Jana Taylor (Pam Jarvis), Dabbs Greer (Edgar Jarvis), Jon Lormer (Joey), Barbara Press (Sally Harper), Mary Patton (Louise Jarvis). While treating a girl patient who is critically ill, Dr. Pooch Hardin refuses to believe warning signs that she is a heroin addict who will stop at nothing to get drugs. She breaks out of the hospital to join a band of fellow drug users.

A woman clown, injured while entertaining at New North Hospital, sues for $1 million in damages on grounds she has been crippled after surgery by a woman-hating doctor.

Dr. Goldstone is injured by a man who has been refused life-saving treatment because a kidney machine is not available.

November 6, 1970: The Oath

November 20, 1970: Act of God
Season 1, episode 9

With Charles Aidman (Dancer), Jane Elliot (Louella), Lane Bradbury (Irene), James W. Gavin (Pilot). Following an argument with Dr. Goldstone over a dying child, Dr. Pettit has an auto accident involving two critically injured people.

November 27, 1970: Mondays Can Be Fatal

With Pamela Susan Shoop (Janet Keller), Ron Rifkin (Ferguson), Sabrina Scharf (Penny Weems), Frank Marth (Lt. Gerber). Dr. Hardin finds himself suspected of murdering the hostess at a party he can't remember because he was served drugged punch. He's told that the one witness who could back up his story has disappeared.

December 4, 1970: The Fever

With Radames Pera (David Walberg), Eduard Franz (Gus Walberg), Viveca Lindfors (Jennie Walberg), Barney Phillips (Dr. Kendrick), S. The fear of an epidemic sweeps the city after Dr. Marsh is stricken with bubonic plague while attending a music festival sponsored by Dr. Goldstone's friend.

December 11, 1970: The Prisoner Project

With Walter Anderson (Phil Cornelius), Kaz Garas (Walt Chaucer), Mathias Reitz (Ghest), Geri Reischl (Jane Doe), Mitzi Hoag (Geraldine Clarke), Gordon DeVol (Martin). While doing research at the state penitentiary, Dr. Greg Pettit gets caught up in a riot led by a badly-scarred killer.

December 18, 1970: Dancy

On the eve of a threatened strike at New North Hospital a bomb explodes, injuring Dr. Barrin and forcing Dr. Goldstone to order the evacuation of all patients who can be moved.

January 22, 1971: The Secret

A playboy takes the blame for a fatal hit-run auto crash and Dr. Pettit is the only one who knows that the confessor's brother, a candidate for the Senate, was really responsible.

February 5, 1971: Metamorphosis

February 12, 1971: The Challenger

February 19, 1971: Casualty

February 26, 1971: Heart Trouble
Season 1, episode 20

With Meredith MacRae (Vicki), Peter Haskell (Ben Bohannan), Elaine Fielding (Jeri), Kathleen Hughes (Miss Manning), David Sachs (Dr. Cherry). An ambitious executive gets jealous of his pregnant wife and Dr. Sam Marsh and files suit for divorce. Marsh's wife takes on the task of making the man realize his jealousy has no foundation.

March 5, 1971: The Guardian
Season 1, episode 21

With Lew Ayres (Dr. Holt), Shelley Fabares (Catherine), Rafael Campos (Chico Ruiz), Gilbert Green (Rollins), Paula Victor (Mrs. Redding), Ned Wertimer (Hunter). A famed heart specialist antagonizes the interns with his by-the-book approach, and stirs resentment at the hospital when he's rumored as the successor to ailing Dr. Goldstone.

March 12, 1971: The Manly Art
Season 1, episode 22

With Ron O'Neal (Buzz Pollack), Janet McLachlan (Marsha Pollack), Jackie Coogan (Homer Wayne). When a veteran boxer stages a surprising comeback, his longtime friend Dr. Barrin suspects the fighter's handlers are dosing him with stimulants.

Dr. Lydia Thorpe finds herself torn by a choice between her career and marriage when her fiancee asks her to give up medicine just as she undertakes a heavy workload at a ghetto clinic.
