Danny Thomas returns in a weekly series as a veteran medical practitioner who is irascible and headstrong by nature, but at heart a pussycat. In the first show, the health of a good friend becomes a matter of concern.

With Severn Darden (Dr. Chisholm). Dr. Bedford wonders how to cast his ballot when his son David is nominated to serve as the hospital's chief of internal medicine.

Dr. Bedford's office is vandalized and he has trouble raising funds to replace equipment.

April 2, 1976: Jules' Vacation
Season 1, episode 8

With Joseph V. Perry (Jim), Naomi Stevens (Mrs. Friedman), Penny Santon (Rose), Dave Shelley (Al Sullivan), Raymond Singer (Man Bitten by Fish). Forced to take a long-overdue vacation, Dr. Bedford promptly turns his hotel room into a makeshift clinic.

With Billy Braver. Molly considers giving up medicine -- and Dr. Bedford -- when she discovers she's given an overdose of allergy serum to a hilarious hypochondriac.

With Bryan Scott (Eddie). Dr. Bedford becomes a "practice father" when 10-year-old Eddie is dropped off for a checkup and is never reclaimed by his legal guardian.

December 1, 1976: The Snow Job

With Art Metrano (Cabbie), Yvonne Wilder (Mrs. Widdicomb), Jayne Meadows (Mrs. Milnor), Ivor Francis (Mr. Milnor), William Cort (Mr. Widdicomb). Dr. Jules Bedford and his son are stranded in a 16th floor apartment due to a power failure and are pressed into service by a neighbor who is about to have a baby.

December 8, 1976: A Doctor's Doctor

With Candy Azzara (Madame), Sarina Grant (Nurse Bleeker), R.J. Adams (Dr. Perry), Bill Dana (Murphy), Robert Miller Driscoll. When Dr. Jules Bedford's son David orders his father hospitalized, the elder doctor reveals himself to be a most impatient patient.

December 22, 1976: Carlotta
Season 2, episode 7

With Edie Adams (Carlotta). An old flame tries to tempt Dr. Bedford into marriage by promising a large donation to the hospital.

December 29, 1976: Jules Takes A Partner
Season 2, episode 8

With David Huddleston (Dr. Harrigan), Ralph Manza (Herman). Two doctors together are one too many when Jules Bedford -- trying to save a colleague from the boredom of retirement -- offers to share his office with him.

January 26, 1977: Oh, Brother
Season 2, episode 9

With Jan Murray (Harry). The reappearance of Jules' long-lost brother causes sentiment to get in the way of common sense, and Jules forgets the the fellow's larcenous habits. (Last show of the series.)
