Season 1, episode 1
W: Phil Mishkin, Rob Reiner D: Alan Rafkin Summer comedy series debuts starring Richard Castellano as the superintendent of a tenement building in New York. Castellano, who was featured in "The Godfather", plays an uncouth yet lovable man whose life revolves around his family and the people in the apartments. Ardell Sheridan plays his wife. Margaret S. Castellano and Bruce Kirby, Jr. are their children. In the first show, the Super discovers his son has been suspended from school.

W: Carl Gottlieb Joe Girelli loses his job as super in the tenement and things look bad -- until the tenants rebel.
Season 1, episode 3
W: Phil Mishkin, Rob Reiner Joe Girelli decides it's high time his brother Frankie should marry and settle down and arranges a date for him with Mrs. Stein's niece.
Season 1, episode 4 Joe Girelli receives a notice from the city condemning the apartment building he manages.
Season 1, episode 5
W: Mickey Rose Joe Girelli and family want to go on vacation, but in order to raise money Joe hopes to sell some war surplus.
Season 1, episode 6
With Maureen Arthur. A troubled divorcee moves into an apartment and becomes interested in Joe, who in turn seeks out his cronies for advice on how to handle the situation.
Season 1, episode 7
W: Phil Mishkin, Rob Reiner Parental concern (and suspicion) results in Joe canceling his daughter's first date, a young and popular swinger.

W: Ron Friedman When Anthony breaks out in spots, the family, the tenants and the doctor become involved.

W: Ardell Sheridan, Robert E. Hodge Joe goes on a diet in order to recapture his youthful image, but finds he has a fat chance of succeeding.

W: Mickey Rose Joe makes the mistake of blabbing that he has an extra ducat for the professional football game of the year, which promptly brings him lots of "friends" and problems. (Last show of the series.)
