W: Dale McRaven D: James Frawley An earthy contemporary series centering around the lives of four motherless children and their widowed father -- Zack Wheeler -- the most irresponsible, no-account, indolent yet lovable rascal in the Lone Star state. In the first show, Truckie is faced with a school mutiny by Doobie after the return of their "daddy".
Season 1, episode 2
W: Dale McRaven Friends talk Doobie into watching an X-rated movie so he can prepare for the date he's made with a pretty classmate. But Doobie is turned off by the movie and seeks advice from older brother Truckie.
Season 1, episode 3
W: Dale McRaven When Truckie discovers a dent in his truck, Zack denies doing it although he used it the night before.
Season 1, episode 4
W: Dale McRaven When a tornado approaches Lamont, Truckie takes the kids to safety, but Zack and Doobie are trapped in the cellar.

With Christina Hart (Librarian), Monty Margetts (Mrs. Swope), Edgar Justice (Mr. Swope). Truckie falls for a pretty librarian, but he has trouble reconciling his feelings for her with her wanderlust spirit.

With Charlotte Stewart (Antique Dealer), Eve McVeagh (Mrs. Klate), Clarke Gordon (Mr. Klate). When he discovers that the pile of junk in the barn is considered valuable, Zack conducts a garage sale and inadvertently sells daughter Boo's cherished music box.

W: Dale McRaven When Zack decides to return to Superstition Mountain to find the Lost Dutchman gold mine, daughter Boo demands to accompany him.

With Linda Kelsey (Mavis). While working several jobs to support the family, Truckie Wheeler suddenly calls it quits and goes on strike. (Last show of the series.)
