Series premiere. A time traveller, Phineas Bogg, accidentally materializes outside the bedroom of a 12-year old orphan, Jeffrey Jones, in 1982. In the opening episode, the duo travel through time to help Wilbur and Orville Wright perfect the airplane.

With Ed Bakey (Bastaine), Leigh Hamilton (Octavia), Rossie Harris (Young Sam Clemens), Fay Hauser (Harriet Tubman), Robin Ignico (Calpernia), Dan Pastorini (Spartacus), Jay Robinson (Cicero), Tim Rossovich (Thamaras), Ian Abercrombie (Bitiatus), Duke Stroud (Sheriff). Arriving in Italy in 73 B.C., the Phineas and Jeffrey discover that Spartacus is being sent to die in the arena in Rome, altering history and preventing him from leading the slave revolt. Phineaus then escapes to Missouri to help runaway slave Harriet Tubman win her freedom.

October 24, 1982: Bully And Billy

With Gregg Henry (Teddy Roosevelt), Frank Koppala (Billy the Kid), Gina Gallego (Rita Dela Rosa), Fredd Wayne (Ben Franklin), Sid Conrad (Sheriff). Jeff and Bogg arrive in the Cuban revolution to find history changed because Teddy Roosevelt never led the charge up San Juan Hill.

Bogg and Jeff land in colonial Massachusetts, where they become involved in saving Benjamin Franklin's mother from accusations of witchcraft; they then pay a surprise visit to master magician Harry Houdini in Boston.

With Robert Ackerman (J.P. Morgan), Judson Scott (Lawrence of Arabia), Steven Keats (Thomas Edison), Mary Kate McGeehan (Mary Edison), Lawrence Dobkin (Commandant). The Voyagers are separated: Bogg is with Lawrence of Arabia, while Jeff is stranded in the 1800's with Thomas Edison.

November 14, 1982: Cleo And The Babe

With Dan Kern (Sir Isaac Newton), Andrea Marcovicci (Cleopatra), Michael Gregory (Lucky Luciano), William Lucking (Babe Ruth), Ken Swofford (Mr. Barrow), Norman Snow (Marc Antony). The Voyagers inadvertently bring Cleopatra forward in time to prohibition-era New York City, where she encounters gangster Lucky Luciano; Jeffrey discovers that Babe Ruth has become a vaudeville performer.

November 21, 1982: The Day The Rebs Took Lincoln

With John Anderson (Abraham Lincoln), Karen Dotrice (Marion Brownlow), Rachel Bard (Mrs. Lincoln), Alex Hyde-White (Charles Dickens), Robert Phalen (Fagin), Gerald Hiken (Bill Sikes), Alexa Hamilton (Jane Phillips). On their way to rescue President Lincoln, who has been kidnapped by Confederate soldiers, the Voyagers are briefly diverted to 1832 London where they encounter young author Charles Dickens.

November 28, 1982: Old Hickory And The Pirate

With Lance LeGault (Andrew Jackson), Tricia O'Neil (Annie Brown), James Carroll Jordan (Jean Lafitte), Andra Akers (Lizzie Palmer), George Innes (Black Bill Scroggins), John Dullaghan (Blind Man), Michael Bond (William Clark), Bill McLaughlin (Merriwether Lewis). Jeffrey and Bogg talk the pirate Jean Lafitte into leaving the Bahamas for New Orleans, where General Jackson is going to need his help against the Redcoats. Then they help famous explorers Lewis & Clark get back on the right trail.

December 3, 1982: The Travels Of Marco Polo. . . And Friends
Season 1, episode 9

With Mako (Karauna Chief), Nathan Adler (Albert Einstein), Paul Comi, Keye Luke (Kublai Khan), Michael Fox (Isaac Wolfstein), Julius Harris (Auctioneer), Paul Comi (Maffeo Polo), Manu Tupou (Oxen), Paul Regina (Marco Polo), Pat Renella (Niccolo Polo). A retired voyager alternately helps and hinders Phineas and Jeffrey's efforts to get Marco Polo started on his trip to China.

December 12, 1982: An Arrow Pointing East

With Mills Watson (Friar Tuck), Jonathan Frakes (Charles Lindbergh), Wendy Fulton (Maid Marian), Denny Miller (Little John), Dan Hamlton (Robin Hood), Alex Rebar (Sheriff of Nottingham), John Slade (Prince John). The Voyagers encourage Lindburgh on the eve of his trans-Atlantic flight, then help Robin Hood sneak into an archery competition to rescue Maid Marian.

December 19, 1982: Merry Christmas, Bogg
Season 1, episode 11

With Anne Lockhart (Amy Jones), Peter Donat (George Washington), Kelly Jean Peters (Mrs. Washington), Joe Dorsey (Samuel Gompers), Don Knight (Colonel), John O'Connell (Stephen Jones). The Voyagers must go back in time to before the American Revolution to make sure that George Washington joins the American rebels rather than the British. Then in 1892 they help early union leader Samuel Gompers, and Jeffrey gets to meet his great grandfather, a lawyer helping the labor cause.
