The Orioles collected only five hits, but bunched four for three runs in the second inning and defeated the Indians, 3-2, behind the pitching of Mike Cuellar. Davey Johnson singled, stopped at third on a double by Andy Etchebarren and was out at the plate on a grounder by Cuellar, but Don Buford walked to load the bases. After Etchebarren scored on a passed ball, Mark Belanger singled to drive in two runs. Tony Horton homered for the Indians, who got only five hits off Cuellar. [The Sporting News]
