Hank Aaron hit the 555th homer of his major league career and Jim Nash made a winning debut in the N. L. by pitching the Braves to a 6-1 victory over the Padres. Aaron clubbed his homer with a man on base in the first inning and also doubled and scored in the fourth when the Braves added three runs. [The Sporting News]
