. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Greeting the arrival of Phil Regan in relief, Deron Johnson walloped a three-run homer in the seventh inning to give the Phillies a 5-3 victory over the Cubs. The Phillies, who were trailing, 3-1, opened the seventh with a run off Ken Holtzman on a single by Rick Joseph, a double by Larry Bowa and an infield out by Denny Doyle. After Larry Hisle walked, Regan took over to face Johnson. [The Sporting News]
