After winning the first game, 5-2, the Brewers went on a hitting rampage and added a 16-2 victory to complete the sweep of a doubleheader with the White Sox. Danny Walton clinched the Brewers' decision in the opener by hitting a homer with a man on base in the sixth inning.

George Lauzerique not only pitched the Brewers to victory in the second game, but joined in the attack with a single and a homer, driving in four runs. Every player in the lineup, except for Tommy Harper, collected one or more of the Brewers' 16 hits. Steve Hovley accounted for five RBIs with a double and two singles. [The Sporting News]
