The Twins' acquisition of Brant Alyea in their deal with the Senators continued to pay slugging dividends when the outfielder drove in four runs with a homer and double to lead the way in a 6-3 victory over the Athletics. In seven games in which he had played so far, Alyea had 16 RBIs. Reggie Jackson homered with a man on base for the A's.
