A homer by Boog Powell for his second RBI of the contest enabled the Orioles to edge the Red Sox, 3-2, in a Patriots' Day morning game which was halted by rain after Brooks Robinson had doubled to open the seventh inning. A triple by Mark Belanger and infield out by Frank Robinson produced the Orioles' initial run in the first inning. After the Red Sox went ahead, 2-1, Frank Robinson doubled and Powell singled to tie score in the fourth. Powell followed with his homer in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
