Beating the rain, Cesar Tovar homered with a man on base in the fifth inning to give the Twins a 3-1 victory over the White Sox. After the Twins finished their inning, rain forced the umpires to call the contest. Tovar also scored the Twins' first run, hitting a single in the first inning and completing the circuit on an infield out and a single by Tony Oliva. [The Sporting News]
