With Jim Nash pitching a five-hitter, the Braves snapped their six-game losing streak by defeating the Pirates, 9-0. Rico Carty, hitting safely in his 15th straight game, started the Braves' scoring by driving in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the third inning.
