. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Joe Horlen and Wilbur Wood combined on a four-hitter and pitched the White Sox to a 2-0 victory over the Indians. Horlen, who hurt his back in pre-game practice, left the mound after seven innings. The White Sox scored their first run on singles by Gail Hopkins, Duane Josephson and Horlen in the second. A safe bunt by Luis Aparicio, double by Carlos May and sacrifice fly by Buddy Bradford added the other run in the third. [The Sporting News]
