Boog Powell, who hit a homer and double, drove in all of the Orioles' runs in a 4-2 victory over the White Sox. Mark Belanger and Frank Robinson were on base with singles when Powell pounded his homer in the first inning. Robinson singled, reached second on a wild pitch and scored on Powell's double in the fifth. Bill Melton homered to account for one White Sox run off Mike Cuellar. [The Sporting News]
