Frank Howard, Ed Stroud and Aurelio Rodriguez hit homers to power the Senators to a 9-6 victory over the Brewers. Howard connected with a man on base in the first inning, Stroud added a solo swat in the third and Rodriguez homered with two aboard in the fifth when the Senators scored four runs.

Ted Savage and Danny Walton rapped round-trippers for the Brewers. Pitching in relief, Dick Such gained his first major league victory, although kayoed in the ninth when the Brewers rallied for their last three runs. [The Sporting News]
