Held to five hits by Claude Osteen, the Phillies lost to the Dodgers, 6-1, to end their six-game winning streak. The Dodgers bunched singles by Ted Sizemore, Billy Grabarkewitz and Maury Wills with an error for two runs in the third inning. Grant Jackson, who started for the Phillies, was kayoed in the fifth when the Dodgers added three runs on a single by Manny Mota, a homer by Andy Kosco, double by Wes Parker and throwing error by Tony Taylor.
