. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Frank Howard and Bernie Allen each homered with two men on base as the Senators exploded for seven runs in the third inning to start a 12-2 victory over the Brewers. Howard's homer, his third in as many games, came after Ed Brinkman was hit by a pitch and Ed Stroud singled. Mike Epstein and Aurelio Rodriguez singled ahead of Allen's drive. A single by George Brunet, double by Brinkman and single by Stroud added the seventh run of the stanza. Howard made it a five-RBI night by batting in other runs with singles in the fifth and seventh innings. [The Sporting News]
