Carl Yastrzemski, who hit only one homer in the first 19 games played by the Red Sox this season, smashed two for the circuit to help beat the Angels, 8-3. Yastrzemski started his slugging after Reggie Smith singled in the first inning and added his other drive with the bases empty in the fifth.
