Although failing to last the route for the sixth straight time, Mel Stottlemyre gained his second victory of the season when the Yankees defeated the Brewers, 6-3. Jerry Kenney batted in two runs for the Yankees with a single and triple. Bobby Murcer accounted for two more RBIs with a pair of singles.
