Two-run doubles by Billy Grabarkewitz and Wes Parker carried the Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Mets behind the combined pitching of Sandy Vance and Fred Norman. Vance worked the first five innings before going out for a pinch-hitter in the sixth when the Dodgers broke the scoreless tie.

Andy Kosco singled and was forced by Parker, who stopped at third on a double by Willie Crawford. Grabarkewitz drove them home with his two-bagger. Von Joshua singled in the seventh, Maury Wills beat out a bunt and, after two out, Parker hit his double. [The Sporting News]
