The Braves exploded for seven runs in the second inning and picked up four others on two homers by Clete Boyer to wallop the Pirates, 12-6, for their eighth straight victory. In the second, the Braves scored two runs on passes issued by Bob Moose with the bases loaded. Felix Millan then cleared the sacks with a double and Hank Aaron followed with a homer. Boyer hit his first round-tripper in the third and repeated with two men on base in the fifth. Rico Carty singled twice, hitting safely in his 25th straight game. [The Sporting News]
