Bobby Bonds scored one run and batted in two others to lead the Giants to a 4-1 victory over the Expos. After drawing a pass in the first inning, Bonds stole two bases and crossed the plate on a single by Willie Mays. Bonds picked up his RBIs with a single in the sixth after Dick Dietz doubled, Tito Fuentes walked and Rich Robertson sacrificed. A homer by Adolfo Phillips in the ninth saved the Expos from being shut out at the hands of Robertson, who scattered eight hits. [The Sporting News]
