Coming from behind with three runs in the eighth inning, the Twins defeated the Indians, 7-6. Harmon Killebrew hit his fifth homer in as many games to help the Twins take a 4-2 lead, but the Indians went ahead, 6-4, in the sixth on a run-scoring single by Tony Horton and a homer by Roy Foster with two men on base.

Bob Allison singled for the Twins in the eighth and George Mitterwald tied the count with a homer. Cesar Tovar then singled, stole second and scored the winning run on a two-out single by Tony Oliva. [The Sporting News]
