Joe Hague and Dick Allen batted in four runs apiece to pace the Cardinals to a 9-5 victory over the Phillies. Hague, pinch-hitting for Phil Gagliano, doubled with the bases loaded in the third inning and, remaining in the game, added his fourth RBI with a sacrifice fly in the fifth. Allen drove in his runs with a double in the first, homer in the fifth and groundout in the sixth. Don Money hit a three-run homer for the Phillies. [The Sporting News]
