The Senators lost their ninth straight game when two walks and a single by Boog Powell broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning and provided the Orioles with a 4-3 victory. All other runs came on homers. Aurelio Rodriguez started the scoring with a circuit clout for the Nats in the second inning. Brooks Robinson homered for the Orioles after singles by Frank Robinson and Paul Blair in the fourth, but Rick Reichardt tied the score with a two-run rap in the Senators' half. [The Sporting News]
