The Twins extended their winning streak to six games when Rod Carew scored on a wild pitch in the 10th inning to beat the Royals, 5-4. Carew opened the stanza with a single, took second on a safe bunt by Tony Oliva and reached third on a long fly by Rich Reese before coming home on Tom Burgmeier's wild pitch.
