Helping himself to victory, Clyde Wright singled in the seventh inning to drive in what proved to be the winning run as the Angels defeated the Twins, 3-2. Ken McMullen homered for the Angels in the second. Jim Spencer led off the seventh with another round-tripper. Bill Voss and Joe Azcue then singled before Wright came to the plate and hit his decisive single. Wright, who had a 3-1 lead, was lifted in the eighth when the Twins threatened.
