Homers by Willie Horton and Bill Freehan carried the Tigers to a 4-3 victory over the Yankees. Horton connected with two men on base in the fourth inning. The Yankees came back with the aid of a homer by Bobby Murcer to tie the score, but Freehan ended the game by leading off with a round-tripper in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
