Tony Perez hit his 17th homer of the season with Pete Rose on base for his 47th and 48th RBIs to carry the Reds to a 6-4 victory over the Padres. Rose was on base with a single when Perez shattered the 4-4 tie in the eighth inning. [The Sporting News]
