Boog Powell hit a homer after a single by Frank Robinson in the eighth inning to carry the Orioles to a 2-0 victory over the Angels. Although allowing only four hits, Mike Cuellar had to pitch out of three jams to subdue the Angels, who failed to score with the bases loaded and two out in first inning, with a runner on third and one out in the seventh and with a runner on third and none out in the ninth.
