. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Billy Grabarkewltz, who beat the Cardinals with a two-run homer in the previous day's game, turned the trick again to give the Dodgers a 5-4 victory over the Cubs in a contest stopped by rain with two out in the top half of seventh inning.

The Dodgers took a 2-0 lead in the first on singles by Maury Wills and Manny Mota, a double by Willie Davis and a wild pitch, but the Cubs struck back with four runs in the fifth on two walks and four consecutive singles. Davis opened the sixth with a triple, Wes Parker followed with a double and Grabarkewltz then hit his game-winning homer. [The Sporting News]
