The two-hit pitching of Sam McDowell in the first game and five homers in the second game enabled the Indians to sweep a twi-night doubleheader with the Brewers, 4-1 and 9-5. Graig Nettles, who homered for the Indians in the lidlifter, smashed two in the nightcap, as did Duke Sims. Ray Fosse added the Tribe's fifth homer of the game.
