Billy Conigliaro, subbing for his injured brother, Tony, smashed a homer and Mike Andrews collected four hits as the Red Sox defeated the Twins, 5-1. Andrews singled and scored in the first inning and drove in a run with a double in the fourth after Conigliaro had hit his homer. In the fifth, Conigliaro was nicked by a pitch and crossed the plate on a double by Luis Alvarado. [The Sporting News]
